Backpacking Tips For Starters

There are two types of travelers in the world. First are those who prefer vanilla trips, the planned ones which can cost exorbitant sum of money. These travelers plan everything ahead of them, from hotels they want to stay in to the restaurants they would eat in. Most people tend to do such kind of travels because it is safe. They prefer to go to a known place and photograph the things which have already been photographed. Then there is the second type of travelers, the adventure freaks, the backpackers. They tend to explore new pathways and make they own way in the wilderness. Sure they have idea of where to go and when to go but they are not limited to that. They leave their destinations to their fate and keep only one must in their life, “Enjoy”.
Despite backpacking is not a very safe bet but it can be a life changing experience for any one. Once you start it, you are going to get addicted to its adventures and beauty but the reason most of people do not do this way is that they do not know how to begin. Following points are going to provide you with that starting point.

  • Open Up Your Mind:

Back packing is all about taking your limits to the sky and for that purpose the most important thing is to open up your mind. Leave your comfort zone at home and try to blend in the culture of the place, be a yes person, learn to accept and appreciate the diversity of the world.

  • Your Backpack Is Your Best Buddy:

Whether you are going to travel in wilderness or some urban areas, your backpack can be your best buddy. It let you keep all your belongings with you all the time. Choose it with extreme caution and care as during the adventures you are looking for it is going to be with you. It must be big enough to carry all you need and should fit to your body frame. It is going to stay with you quite a long time in many different sorts of weather so carefully chose the right specs.

  • Pack What You Really Need:

Backpacking teaches you how to be a real minimalist. You do not want to get tired soon or get hurt by the weight you are carrying on your back. Make a list of items you are going to need on your trip and then review it many time. Pack only the items you really need not the ones you just want to have with you. For example you do not have to keep a separate mug if the thermos has one built in, just keep the must have items in your backpack. The items you’ll need are going to depend on the area you are planning to visit.

  • Never Panic:

There are times in backpacking tours when everything start going in the wrong direction and you have no idea of what to do. You may get injured on a hiking trail, your money may get lost or you may get no place to spend the night. There is only one advice for such situations “Do not panic”. You are going to have some good stories to tell only because of this time. Be relaxed and clear your mind, this would bring you out of the shit hole you are in. always remember, "Everything Will Be Alright as It Has to Be".

  • Relax:

You are on a vacation right? It is meant to relax you not to put you in distress so learn to relax. You do not have to hit all the cool tourist points at the same times. Instead what you really have to do is blend in time and the moment to enjoy yourself. This doesn’t mean that you should not plan anything at all, but it means to plan your journey to help you in enjoying your vacation with full zest.
